It's officially Endgame weekend and as we all expected, Endgame is breaking massive records here in the states already. Avengers: Endgame grossed an insane $60M last night during Thursday previews, surpassing The Force Awaken's Thursday previews of $57M. With this record being surpassed, Endgame now has the record for all time Thursday previews which is something many saw coming. The film also easily beats Infinity War's previews of $39M from April of last year. $4.81M of Endgame's intake last night was from IMAX screens.
With these Thursday numbers now in play, Endgame could in fact be looking at a weekend anywhere between $280M-$300M. Infinity War had a total of $39M for it's Thursday previews and it went on to gross over $257M in it's opening weekend, it's very likely at this point Endgame opens well above that considering how much higher it opened than Infinity War in Thursday night previews. By the end of the weekend, it's also very likely Endgame has over $900M worldwide which would be nuts.
Meanwhile oversees, Endgame has officially crossed over $200M in China (Easily surpassing Infinity War's opening weekend back in 2018) and over the course of yesterday has now earned over $305M..........in two days. It opened in the UK yesterday to a reported total of $15.3M and Brazil with $7M. It's only taken two days for this to make that much money, wow just wow. It really looks like many of Infinity War's records are going to be broken this weekend. The question is how many will it break?
