The records just don't stop for Marvel's Avengers: Endgame as the film smashed yet another huge opening record yesterday with a total of $156M on Friday. This is miles ahead of Infinity War's Friday of $106M and The Force Awaken's Friday of $119M. With this huge opening Friday, Endgame could be looking at a weekend between $340M-$350M which is typically unheard of. Additionally, we could be seeing a possible $1.1B opening weekend worldwide. Additionally the film has so far earned a whopping total of over $487M oversees bringing it's worldwide total to $644M. This worldwide number has already surpassed Infinity War's $640M opening which is beyond insane. I'm in absolute awe and disbelief as to how huge this movie is opening up. Early estimates had Endgame's worldwide opening somewhere in the $800M range with a chance of $900M and currently these numbers are blowing past early tracking predictions. It seems Endgame is blowing past Infinity War's records pretty much everywhere as we know, even earning a 70% start over IW in Japan.

Additionally the film is headed towards a $340M-$350M range domestic opening weekend which would be way ahead of Infinity War's launch of $257M. Now with this gigantic opening many are wondering how big will this get? These numbers are no doubt impressive and the chances of it beating Avatar are getting higher as each record passes however it's worth pointing out that many comic book movies can be front loaded. I'm not saying it won't have a shot at beating Avatar but let's sink in how that film made over $2.0B oversees alone and had the benefit of the Christmas season. Endgame will have many factors against it's chances due to summer time and competition. We will have to see how it holds week to week before making any assumptions, either away these numbers are a terrific start and an amazing accomplishment for Marvel after 11 years of storytelling.

Check back tomorrow for our official Box Office rundown on this weekend's box office estimates.
